Otter Rock, Oregon

Otter Rock is home to one of the best sand breaks in the Pacific Northwest offering great waves for surfers of all abilities.

The Surf Yurt is located on a huge deck with panoramic ocean views and walking distance to miles of sandy beach with the trail to Devil’s Punch Bowl starting right starting across the street, and Otter Rock amenities and staircase to Beverly Beach just a couple blocks away.

Other area surf breaks include Moolack and Agate beach a few minutes drive to the south, and South Beach 10 minutes further on the other side of the Newport Bay Bridge.

When the surf is down there are a multitude of area attractions to explore and enjoy the central coast. Hiking at the Yaquina Head lighthouse, Nye Beach, fat bike rentals, the historic Newport Bayfront, the Oregon Coast Aquarium and Hatfield Science Center, along with the world’s smallest harber in and whale watching headquarters in Depot Bay less than 10 minutes North of Otter Rock. Newport, Nye Beach, and Depot Bay all offer a wide variety of great restaurants and shopping.
